Birth of Tripster Buddies

Updated: Dec 31, 2024

What began as personal curation turned into a movement that brought families together to learn and grow through travel. Curious about how a single trip changed everything?

In 2019, as I began my homeschooling journey with my son, Naithik, I wanted to gift him the World as his classroom. Travel, I believed, was the ultimate teacher—offering lessons in history, geography, culture, human connections and life itself. Every city has a story, its biosphere a classroom, its people an inspiration.

To begin, I curated trips for just the two of us. We stayed with relatives, lived like locals and immersed ourselves in each place’s essence. From historical landmarks to regional cuisines, from unique traditions to inspiring individuals, every trip enriched our understanding and sparked curiosity. I realized that Children grow best when their learning is as boundless as their surrounding.

Upon returning, I shared our experiences and learnings with our homeschooling community. My rich experiences were infectious and soon other families wanted to join us. I organized our first group trip along with my friends to Hyderabad and it turned out to be a transformative experience—not just for the children but for the mothers as well.

We traveled as a community, bonding over shared discoveries and insights. Watching my son thrive in the company of other children while exploring the world filled me with purpose. The feedback from this trip was overwhelming. Mothers who hadn’t joined were eager to come along for the next one.

I realized there was a growing demand for thoughtful, educational travel experiences that combined adventure with learning. That’s when I decided to formalize this passion into something bigger. Tripster Buddies was born—an initiative dedicated to creating unforgettable journeys where children and mothers could explore, learn and grow together.

After our third trip, my dear friend Durgesh Nandhini who was a participant in that trip, joined the core group to curate trips. As of December, 2024, Tripster Buddies has completed 18 trips ( 2 Abroad and 16 in length and breadth of India)

Today, Tripster Buddies isn’t just about travel; it’s about building a community, sparking curiosity, and inspiring children to see the world as their classroom.
